Men’s Month- Lessons From Men (EP 82)

January 27, 2017

Wrapping up what has been a remarkable Men’s Month for January 2017, Karen and Kelly are reflecting on some of their favourite lessons from men.

They discuss one fear in particular that we don’t necessarily realize men have, they talk about the significant kind of bond young men experience from their father figures (when young men are fortunate enough to have those figures in their lives) and the ladies continue to challenge society’s harsh views on the act of suicide. Karen and Kelly also enthusiastically discuss a man’s role in a healthy sexual partnership (with references to great resources below). Lastly, mentioning a thought-provoking TED Talk by Norman Lear, they converse about the concept of being “the man of the house” and how that concept can be destructive and self-destructive at any age in a man’s life.
